Subject : Optimization of protocol for extraction and analysis of isozymes in Populus nigra and estimation of the genetic diversity in a clonal collection.

1999 ( 8 months ) Training period at the INRA : Forest Tree Breeding Research Unit (Orléans, France).

Subject : Detection of QTLs controlling quantitative  resistance to rust (Melampsora larici-populina) in Populus trichocarpa using genetic markers (AFLP, Microsatellites).

1999-2003 (3 years) PhD at the INRA : Forest Tree Breeding Research Unit (Pierroton, France).

Subject : Distribution of the genomic regions that differentiated two closely related species : sessile oak (Quercus petraea)  and pedunculate oak (Q. robur).

DNA and protein extraction from plant tissues.
